So Cal Fixed Series - Martucci Crit

The second race of the series was hosted at a local training course in Carson with a slight twist to it. Instead of your classic 4 turn course they decided to make it a bit interesting and they added 2 hairpins at the end of turn 1 and 3. This definitely was an exciting race to watch for all three categories. They kicked it off with the Women Field and right off the bat they kept it moving fast! The infamous Jo came out and crushed it as usual but that didn't stop the other athletes from giving it their all. Alex Reich held a great position with a chase break with 2 other riders and on the final lap it came down to a sprint landing a second place podium.

The course was definitely fun and different to that course so when the Men lined up they had the similar goal, off the front and try to break away. With 20 minutes in one rider from Zero Miedo managed to get away from everyone and stick his break away. Cristian and Jerry managed to not lose the pack getting out of each hair pin and with 10 minutes to go Jerry attacked with a few other riders to hold a 10 sec gap on the group. Same finish as the Women is came down to the last sprint with Martucci getting Jerry a bike length bumping him down to a 3rd place overall. We are stoked to be leading the series in the Women field and sitting 8th overall in the Men. It's still early to call it with 4 more races left in the series but we are confident enough that we will bring our A game. Check out some dope stills from the event captured by @boostamatefotos.
